Seven cases of E.coli poisoning, which killed a total of 18 people in Europe, have been registered in Great Britain. That country’s Health Protection Agency said that all those infected had recently travelled to Germany, the country most affected by the outbreak.

E.coli bacteria killed 17 people in Germany and another one in Sweden. The origins of the disease are still unclear. Earlier, German scientists put the blame on cucumbers from Spain, but this information was not confirmed.

On June 2nd, Russia imposed a ban on vegetable imports from anywhere within the EU.
