Muammar Gaddafi has again said that he won’t leave Libya, the land of his ancestors. This was his reaction on the decision of the US and other countries to recognize the oppositionists’ Interim National Council in Bengasi the only legitimate government of Libya.
Officially, Colonel Gaddafi doesn’t occupy any posts in the Libyan state, and his opponents demand that he must leave the country.
Gaddafi said this when he addressed his supporters in the town of Az Zawiyah, which, after many days of fighting, has finally been reconquered by Gaddafi’s forces.
