London riots have spilled over to a third British city: Liverpool, where clashes have occurred between the police and groups of aggressive young people. Several vehicles have been set on fire.

Riots were also recorded this night in the second largest metropolis of the United Kingdom – Birmingham, where scores of youths rampaged through the shopping area, smashing windows and looting from shops and restaurants. One of the police stations was attacked.

In London the violence is spilling over into new areas of the city. The Russian Embassy in Great Britain has recommended its citizens to refrain from visits to the city outskirts: Tottenham, Enfield and Brixton.

It is reported that no Russians were hurt in the street violence.

Over 200 people have been detained since the start of the riots. Several dozen police officers have sustained injuries in clashes with the protesters.
