War in Libya:Bani Walid assault suspended

Photo: AFP Anti-Gaddafi forces in Libya have suspended assault on the pro-Gaddafi stronghold of Bani Walid some 160 kilometres southeast of Tripoli so that locals could leave the war zone. Which is what they are doing now, mostly in the directions of Tarhuna and Misrata.
Bani Walid is without electricity, water or phone communication. A force of some 1,000 Gaddafi loyalists there is using heavy artillery to quell a rebellion attempt.
