About 40 protesters camped outside the cabinet’s headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, have been hospitalized with acute food poisoning.
It’s reported that the people had eaten minced meat sandwiches, brought to the sit-in camp by an unknown woman.
According to eye-witnesses, she had never previously been seen among the demonstrators. The woman arrived at the Government building by car, distributed the food among the protesters, and left.
After a while, people began to feel unwell. The demonstrators suspect that they have been deliberately poisoned to stop the protest action.
