Four Russian Tu-95MS missile carriers have successfully shot off cruise missiles at a Russian Far East military drill, Air Forces spokesperson Vladimir Drik said today.

This strategic missile carrier is designed to engage fixed targets in any part of the world and under any weather conditions.

The Tu-95MS jet entered the Russian military service in 1957 and has gone through a number of revamps.

In 1981, the military procured the latest Tu-95MS model after strategic B-52 bombers were equipped with ALCM cruise missiles, Drik said.
