Japan – Hiroshima marks 67th anniversary of atomic bombing

Monday marks the 67th anniversary of the US atomic bombing of Hiroshima. A memorial ceremony will begin at the city’s Peace Park at 8 AM with Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda attending.
The updated list of the names of 280,959 victims will be placed at the cenotaph. It will include the names of 5,729 people who died in the past year, or whose deaths have been confirmed. Read more…
