Many Syria solutions but little agreement in out-of-sync UN

A week after vetoes from Russia and China put an end to a UN resolution on Syria its supporters are coming back with another draft.

Diplomats at the United Nations Security Council have reportedly agreed to drop demands for an arms embargo against Syria and the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad. Russia had vocally opposed both points.

Two people have been killed as a result of an explosion in an Italian restaurant, called “Il Pittore” in south-west Moscow. Thirty nine more have reportedly been injured. The blast damaged the roof and walls of the building and set it ablaze.

The announcement was made during Mr. Bashir`s visit to Libya, the first one since the fall of the Gaddafi regime.

The Libyan city of Benghazi, the birthplace of the rebellion that toppled Muammar Gaddafi, might also prove to be the deathbed of the ruling NTC. For two days, thousands of people have been protesting against the NTC and its chairman.
