Afghan aid conference adopts Tokyo declaration

Delegates at the Afghan aid conference in Tokyo have pledged to donate 16 billion dollars to Afghanistan through 2015.
The representatives from about 80 countries and international organizations closed the meeting on Sunday by adopting a declaration. The participants included Afghan President Hamid Karzai, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. Read more…
