The floods caused by monsoon rains have paralyzed the capital Manila, populated by 15 million people.

Heavy rain from 2 typhoons has triggered flooding and mudslides in China’s eastern coastal regions and has left at least 7 people dead.

Shandong Province received accumulated rainfall of more than 200 millimeters this month. The provincial government says mudslides have left 6 people dead and 2 others missing.

Floods kill 88 people in N. Korea – Media + Photos

North Korean state media has reported that heavy rains stemming from a typhoon have killed at least 88 people and injured 134 more.

The Korean Central News Agency says the heavy rain that fell from the 18th to the 24th this month led to numerous floods across North Korea. Conditions were especially bad in South Pyongan Province, in the west of the country.

77 dead in Beijing rains

Beijing’s municipal government says 77 people have died in recent torrential rains. Authorities are facing criticism from residents for their slow response.

Heavy rain pelted Beijing for more than 10 hours between last Saturday and early Sunday, inundating 100 sections of roads in the center of the capital.

At least 171 people have been killed in a devastating flood in Russia’s southern Krasnodar region. It’s the worst of its kind in nearly a century, and the death toll continues to rise.

Death toll in southern Russia floods rises to 99

The death toll from floods caused by heavy rains in Russia’s southern Krasnodar region has risen to 99 from 87, police said Saturday, as rescue workers discovered the bodies of more victims.
