Japan:Banquet held for king of Bhutan and his wife

The King and Queen of the Himalayan nation of Bhutan attended a state banquet at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on Wednesday.

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema are on a 6-day state visit to Japan.

The young king of the Himalayan nation of Bhutan married a commoner in a traditional Tibetan Buddhist ceremony on Thursday.

The wedding ceremony was held in the ancient capital Punakha, attended by guests that included royal families and religious leaders.
