Japan:Balls from disaster-hit area found in Alaska

Two sports balls found washed up on an island off the US state of Alaska are believed to have been swept away by tsunami that hit northeastern Japan last year and drifted across the Pacific.

No tsunami threat after Aceh quake

Following the massive earthquake that hit northeastern Japan on March 11, 2011, the emergency alerts issued to the public underestimated the possible tsunami height.
