Libyan opposition intends to continue its offensive in the country’s west. On Wednesday, the rebels managed to seize Misurata airport from the government troops. On Thursday NATO aircraft bombed the residence of Muammar Gaddafi in Tripoli. As a result of the raid 6 people were killed, ten more were wounded, all victims – civilians. In addition, the Embassy building of the Democratic People ’s Republic of Korea was damaged.

Earlier, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates acknowledged that the United States still does not know who enters the ranks of the Libyan opposition.

According to him, this is one reason why the U.S. has so far not agreed to supply weapons to the rebels.
