The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has started realizing the danger of interfering in the Libyan conflict, Chairman of the Russian State Duma’s International Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachev said in a televised interview.

According to the official, PACE delegates came to realize that an armed interference does not facilitate settlement and only provokes civil war. He also said that they were mostly concerned about human rights and democratic processes when unanimously supporting the Western coalition’s campaign in Libya at a session in April.

Now it is clear that Libya is suffering from a conflict between tribes and social groups, which cannot be resolved through international interference, Konstantin Kosachev stressed.
