Opponents of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi have blocked an oil pipeline near the town of Zuvar.

Thus, the rebels intend to cut off supply to government troops. The oil belongs to the Libyans, but not Gaddafi, they say.

A few days ago, the opposition held a similar rally in the city of Az-Zawiya to stop the operation of a local refinery, from where “black gold” reaches Tripoli.

Mass protests began in Libya in mid-February. On March 19 the coalition of Western countries began military operations there in order to protect the civilian population.
