Libyan Prime Minister Ali-Bagdadi Ali al-Mahmoudi has urged an “immediate cease-fire and the establishment of dialogue with the opposition”.

Speaking to reporters in Tripoli on Thursday, he pointed out that the ongoing Libyan logjam should be resolved through diplomatic efforts.

He added that the resignation of Muammar Gaddafi “may well become a matter of discussions”.

He also promised that all those seeking a peaceful solution of the Libyan deadlock “will soon hear good news.“
