LIBYA:Gaddafi son confirmed dead

The National Transitional Council of the Libyan rebels has confirmed the death of Muammar Gaddafi’s son Khamis and also of one of the sons of Gaddafi’s security chief Abdullah al-Senussi in fighting near Tarhun southeast of Tripoli. Khamis Gaddafi was reportedly interred near Bani Walid.

This city southeast of the Libyan capital is believed to be the current hideout of Muammar Gaddafi. The rebels are storming it, after the defenders declined surrender conditions.
