In the United States, the Court of the Federal District of Columbia has sustained the claims against Iran and Sudan by those who have suffered in terrorist attacks in Africa. The court ruled that Iran and Sudan should pay money damages.

The District Registrar should determine the amounts of compensation and the way it is paid in each claim. Overall, the compensation may run into billions of dollars. More than 200 people died in the US Embassy blasts in Kenya and Tanzania back in 1998.

The DC Court has found out that the Sudanese and Iranian authorities funded and otherwise rendered assistance to Al-Qaeda, which claimed responsibility for the terrorist attacks.
