Iran has successfully test-fired an intermediate range missile during its naval exercise in the Gulf, Agency France Presse reported Sunday referring to Iranian media.

“This medium-range surface-to-air missile is equipped with the latest technology to combat radar-evading targets,” Iran’s military officials said.

The test was conducted during the Velayat-90 naval drill in the Persian Gulf which began on December 24.

The drill zone has an area of about 2,000 square kilometers and stretches from the Strait of Hormuz to the Gulf of Oman.
