Arab League prolongs monitors mission in Syria

The Arab League has prolonged the mandate of its monitors in Syria. Atan extra session in Cairo on Sunday the foreign ministers of the Leagues’ countries have also decided to increase the number of monitors.

The UN will be in charge for the instructing of the new observers.

At the session Mohammed Ahmed Mustafa al-Dabi, the head of the monitors’ mission, presented his report on the work which had been done in Syria.

The Arab League sent a mission of its monitors to Syria to control how the local authorities fulfill their commitments on conducting of the reforms and on the settlement of the domestic political crisis.
