The G8 summit which is to take place in Russia in 2014 will most likely be held in Moscow, Aide to the Russian President Arkady Dvorkovich declared, adding that ‘the decision has not been taken yet’.

The G8 member-states rotate the duties of chairmanship. This year the summit is to take place in the US, in 2013 in the UK.

Russia has ample experience in organizing large international forums. The G8 summit was held in St. Petersburg in 2006 and this year Vladivostok is preparing for a summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation member-states.
