The BRICS group of nations -Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa- have spoken against any foreign intervention in Syria and agreed to contribute to successful political dialogue inside the country, Russia`s President Dmitry Medvedev said following the summit in New Delhi.

The Russian leader stressed that a military intervention in Syria is the most dangerous means in trying to settle the ongoing crisis.

The BRICS nations are ready to send humanitarian aid to Syria, Medvedev said, adding that Russia had already delivered some humanitarian cargoes there.
