Multiple explosions occur in Ukraine, injured 27

Ukraine’s authorities say a series of explosions have injured 13 people in the eastern city of Dnipropetrovsk.
An emergency ministry official said the explosions occurred at 4 locations including a tramway stop and a park on Friday.
The official said the first blast took place at around 11:50 AM local time and more explosions followed at intervals of 30 or 40 minutes.

27 injured in four blasts in Ukraine
Twenty-seven people were injured Friday in the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipropetrovsk in four back-to-back blasts that the country’s leader called a challenge to the nation.
“There is a total of 27” injured in three blasts, an emergencies ministry official said. “We understand that this is yet another challenge for us, for the whole entire nation,” Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said, cited by the Interfax news agency.
Four bomb attacks rock Dnepropetrovsk
Between 9 and 14 people were injured in four successive bomb attacks that took place on Friday in the city of Dnepropetrovsk, eastern Ukraine.
According to some sources, between three and seven people were hurt when an unidentified explosive device went off at a tram stop in central Dnepropetrovsk.
The second blast came about an hour later outside a cinema, injuring seven.
The third explosion took place near a railway terminal and the fourth in a public park.
Several people were hospitalized with fragmentation wounds.
The traffic in the central part of the city has been brought to a standstill.
