Egypt’s Shafik slams Muslim Brotherhood
Egypt’s presidential candidate and ex-Mubarak’s PM Ahmed Shafik stated that he is ready to give his life only to save the country from the Muslim Brotherhood Islamist party.
On Sunday, he told reporters that the Islamists plan to disrupt the second round of the election scheduled for June 16-17 by falsifying results and buying votes to bring their candidate Mohammed Morsi to victory.
On May 23-24, independent candidate Shafik came second in the first round of the election.
