Putin, Erdogan discuss Turkish jet downing – Russia
President Vladimir Putin and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed the crisis in Syria.
In a telephone conversation Wednesday, they also devoted time to the downing of a Turkish F-4 jet by Syrian air defenses in an incident last Friday.
The plane disappeared from radar screens shortly after taking off from an airbase in southeastern Turkey.
Syria says it was inside Syrian airspace when it was shot down by a Syrian missile battery.
Turkey disputes this, arguing the plane took its hit in international airspace.
