Mubarak back in jail
Jul 16, 2012
Egyptian judicial authorities have acted on the order by the Prosecutor General to move ex-President Hosni Mubarak from a military hospital back to prison.
This follows medical conclusions that Mubarak has made a good recovery from a heart attack he suffered on June 19th . Speculation that the former leader was close to death appears to have been false.
In early June, a Cairo court sentenced him to a life in jail for his role in the crackdown on the 2011 protests against his rule.
Mubarak’s legal team is seeking his release on health grounds.
