Ghana Vice President Mahama sworn in as president

Ghana president John Atta Mills died on Tuesday at the age of 68 at a hospital in the capital Accra, Reuters reported referring to a statement from the presidential office.
He has been serving as the west African nation’s president since 2009.
Ghana Vice President Mr. Mahama was sworn in as new President, hours after the death of president John Atta, at an emergency session of parliament.
