Japanese weather forecasters are warning of gales and heavy snow in the north of the country.

An unusually early snowstorm has struck the US East Coast, causing power cuts and flight cancellations.

The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA, says a cold air mass over the East Coast is bringing snow from early Saturday morning. Read more…
