Libya. Photo: EPA An armed convoy of dozens of vehicles carrying gold and money from Libya has arrived in Niger, an African state bordering Libya in the south, a spokesperson for Libyan rebels said. He added that gold and money were taken from a bank in Gaddafi`s home town of Sirte.
Meanwhile, it is not clear whether Muammar Gaddafi or any of his family were in the convoy.
Now the convoy is heading for Niger`s capital, Niamey, which is close to the border with Burkina Faso, which had earlier offered Gaddafi asylum.
