War in Libya:NTC forces enter port of Sirte

In Libya the forces of the National Transitional Council have seized the port of Sirte, just east from  Muammar Gaddafi’s  hometown of the same name, the France Presse news agency reports, citing a senior rebel commander.

Meanwhile, the defenders of Sirte and Bani Walid still hold their ground, undeterred by continuing NATO air strikes. The whereabouts of Colonel Gaddafi remain unknown.
