Libyan rebels reject political settlement

BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhuanet) –A spokesman for Libya’s opposition forces has rejected any political solution that would result in a divided country.
The rebels have consistently turned down peace talk proposals from the international community. UN envoys continue to voice concerns about the humanitarian situation in Libya.
Abdel Hafiz Ghoga, Deputy Chairman of Libya’s National Transitional Council said “Libya must maintain it’s integrity. It will not be divided. Maybe Gaddafi hopes to run half the country just as in East and West Germany. But we reject this. We want an undivided Libya. There is no political solution, only a military solution or Gaddafi’s surrender.”
