Foreign tourists attacked in Ethiopia

Gunmen have attacked foreign tourists in northern Ethiopia, reportedly killing 5 and kidnapping 4 others.

The mainly European visitors were attacked on Monday night near the Erta Ale volcano, a popular tourist attraction in the northern Afar region.

NAIROBI, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) — Kenyan authorities have enhanced security along the border with Somalia after suspected Al-Shabaab militants kidnapped two international staff working for the medical charity, Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF) earlier on Thursday.

Gunmen have attacked a refugee camp in Kenya hijacking four workers, Associated Press reported Thursday.

Two of the hijacked people are Kenyan citizens.
